What can you hold back from Him that isn’t all already His anyway?

We need to discover what true surrender sincerely is! Our heart, our minds, our souls belong to God. Our loves, our lives,

it all belongs to God, so what or why are we harboring it in, storing away those things that we think belongs to us.

How insensitive to God’s ownership have some of us become? The air we breathe for example, if it belongs to you, then hold it in, and don’t let go?

Psalm 24:1
The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains,
The world, and those who dwell in it.”

How much can the earth contain? I may not be able to answer that question, but I can respond with an answer that if asked the question I could give.

John 21:25

“Now there are also many other things that Jesus did.

Were every one of them to be written,

I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”

Well, that seems a bit much, don’t you think? That is just speaking of His works! Since the earth cannot contain those books, I am curious. If the earth is the Lord’s, and all that is in it, and everyone that that dwell therein, then is that all? Is there anything else that belongs to God?

Ephesians 4:4-6

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling;

one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.”

God s God all by Himself. Furthermore, and since there is only ONE GOD, then what can you hide from Him that He doesn’t only know, but is the owner thereof? Outside al is nothing.

Many times what are carnality does to us is cause us to turn everything towards ourselves. But, in the end, when all is said and done, what then?

Luke 12:20
“But God said to him, ‘You fool!

This very night your soul is required of you;

and now who will own what you have prepared?’

Have we fooled ourselves into actually believing that we somehow have any bearing on the things we think we own? When you have completed your journey, reathed your last, placed in the ground, what influence do you or what power  do you really have? How much do you own anyhow? Do you really have what you think you got? The only thing that you have that you can say you got is GOD! Then again, God really has gotten you before you ever thought you could get Him! At least that is what Paul said.

“Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect:

but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 3:12)

Just when you think you got Him, He gets you!

If we could ever get in line with the Kingdom, and quit all this religiosity, I do believe that we will see a true revival like we have never seen in the last 10 generations.

Acts 4:24
“And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God with one accord and said,

“O Lord, it is You who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and all that is in them,”

We would be broken, destroyed, and depleted corpses if it weren’t for God. Everything we have is His.

We are born into this world with empty hands, and when we depart, we will do so with as just as empty hands just like we came in with.

When you think about it, our spirits don’t have anything that can be enabled to be seen.

We don’t bring anything with us. All we leave with is Christ, and everything we think we are, have, or need simply becomes entrusted into the hands of the One that owns it all.

Furthermore, in order to please Him, we conduct our lives with open hands.

We accept what He entrusts to us as stewards, not proprietors. We dare not take hold of the things He entrusts to us as our own.

Everything is held loosely. We merely keep the gifts He has entrusted to us.

God owns it all. You will never be in financial trouble if you remember those four words.

Trust Him. Let it go. You’ve been given one main task:

to be a good steward of what He has entrusted to you.

Nothing less. Nothing more.

God owns it all.
