WE ARE NO LONGER SINNERS, those of us who have placed our faith in Christ. So many out in the Body continue to think that they are still sinners when the Bible doesn’t support such teaching. That is someone in religion seeking to practice what is called witchcraft in the lives of God’s people.

If you will recall, God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. We are destroyed because of ignorance.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

If you claim that you are a sinner, listen to what you are saying. You are saying that your father is the devil. Isn’t the devil the father of sinners?

“The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the very start. This is why the Son of God was revealed, to destroy the works of the devil.” (1 John 3:8)

Jesus even told the Pharisees that they were of their father the devil? How so?

Because they refused Christ. Until you accept what God did then you are held in chains of bondage to sin.

Listen to the Scripture declare something,

“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord who has enabled me, because He counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry, although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. And the grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which are in Christ Jesus. This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life. Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen.” (1 Timothy 1:12-17)

And according to 2 Corinthians 5:21 it is abundantly clear that I am no longer a sinner, but the righteousness of God in Christ.

“For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”

However, we have been taught that we are sinners still. We may sin still, and by that we will make mistakes, but the Saint of God has something working on their behalf. It is called RIGHTEOUSNESS! By the way, it was never yours to begin with. You can’t go to the Holy Store of God and purchase or win it, because it is something only God gives and does so once that initial acceptance of His workmanship has taken place, and that is BELIEVING that God raised Christ from the dead! Then you seek it with the word of your testimony proclaiming Jesus is Lord! (Romans 10:8-11)

Now we can see how beautiful that passage of Scripture is that Matthew wrote, saying,

Seek first the Kingdom of God.

The issue comes into play when we do not take the time to discover Truth. The next word after that phrase is AND. Problem is, that is a poor definition of that Greek word “kai”. It shouldn’t be like this AND (kai) that. It should be translated as “NAMELY”. Seek first the Kingdom of God, NAMELY His righteousness. This is how we achieve the Kingdom. Notice also too the context of that passage. Who was Christ speaking to? Let’s see, shall we?

“And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying:” (Matthew 5:1-2)

Salvation had not come yet. They were followers. He had not went to the cross yet. Who was He speaking to and addressing? It is easy to say that you follow Christ (disciple) it is quite another to actually be IN HIM while doing it!

Therefore, these were UNSAVED PEOPLE!

Seeking first the Kingdom of God means that you seek after RIGHTEOUSNESS. It is something that you cannot get on your own!

Now, however, I am no longer a person who is UNSAVED.
